Zombies

Everywhere and everyone is nice and peaceful in the city of Pewaukee until the zombie apocalypse happened. A few people survived and most of the survivors changed. At my house, my  brave dad changed to be afraid to go outside. He changed because he got very scared when he say real zombies in the city, and because of that. My dad will forever be inside the house to be safe from the zombies.

My first sentence At my house, my  brave dad changed to be afraid to go outside.-Reveals aspects of my character. My character changed from being brave to being scared

My next sentence He changed because he got very scared when he saw real zombies in the city,-Shows another aspect that my character is scared of the zombies

My final sentence and because of that my dad will forever be inside the house to be safe from the zombies.-Shows that he provoke a decision to stay in the house.

The prediction on how the book really ends

      How would you feel if you were in a community of sameness? In the book, The Giver, by Lois Lowry, Jonas was chosen to be the new Receiver of Memory. Soon after he is chosen, Jonas finds out why the community is under the law of sameness. My theory is that Jonas and Gabriel eventually make it to Elsewhere.

      My evidence to support this theory is that Jonas heard people singing, and also heard music. That Jonas saw lights from a house. Another piece of evidence is that the author was sad when people said they die right away. Jonas and Gabriel went a far distance since they left the community.

      No it does not solve anything. The people in the community will be forced to bury the memories. Now the Giver will not be able to see his daughter soon. Now they will have to be a new receiver of memory in order to have the Giver be able to see his daughter.

      Elsewhere is anywhere outside of the community. The receiver of memory is someone who holds all the memories of what ever existed before the law of sameness. That's why my theory is Jonas and Gabriel make it to elsewhere.

Cats

    There are approximately 86.4 million owned cats in the United States. Thirty-three percent of U.S. households own at least one cat. These statistics reflect the popularity of cats. There are many advantages and disadvantages to having a cat.

    Here are the advantages of having a cat. One advantage is having a pet to play with. Another advantage is you are able to pet a cat and sometimes you're hand will go down in the fur. A third advantage is able to see the cat run after a ball with a bell. A fourth advantage is the cats will cuddle with you. The fifth advantage is that cats are also full of surprises like they can jump up about 4 feet from the ground. 

     Here are the disadvantages of having a cat. The first disadvantage is having to clean out the liter box every week. Another disadvantage is having to clean up there pea that gets on your carpet. A third disadvantage is having to buy the expensive food every single month. 

      Statistics show that people recognized what cats have to offer.Those are the advantages and disadvantages of having a cat.

The giver and the city of ember are different for many reasons. The first reason is that The city of ember is running out of power and food, while the The giver has enough power and food. The next reason is that The city of ember is under ground while the giver has no city underground. 

One thing they have incoming is that they both do not have sunshine, sunlight, and a sun.

Nintendo DS games

      How do you get entertained by Nintendo DS games? Nintendo DS games let us play card games and    board games as long you have the game to play it. They also require a Nintendo DS to play the games. Some DS games let you do what ever you want. Why are Nintendo DS games so entertaining?

     Nintendo DS games are entertaining and fun for many reasons. The first reason is that some games have ways that you can do your own way so you can have lots of fun. Then another reason is that some games have board games so that you like to play. For example chess, checkers, Chinese checkers, Monopoly, and other board games. The final reason is that in the game you can do the same entertaining things many times. 

      The DS games can be played at any place and at anytime. They also let you do quests and challenges. Some games will even let you battle other people. For example all the Pokemon, Yugioh, and Bakugan DS games.


      That's why DS games are so entertaining and fun at the same time.

Sacrifice

 How would you feel if your grandma moved in with you? Would changes have to be made? In the story “Ribbons”, by Laurence Yen, Grandma came from China to live with her family because her daughter wanted her too. This move required both Stacy, her granddaughter, and Grandma to sacrifice many things.  

   Stacy had to give up a lot of her stuff. First Stacy had to cease her daily ballet lessons to bring Grandma  to America. Next Stacy also had to give up her own room so Grandma could have a place to stay. Then the third thing Stacy had to give up is her ice cream bar, because her grandma gave it all to Stacy’s brother. The worst sacrifice for Stacy was having to give up was her ballet shoes because her Grandma thought those           shoes would ruin Stacy’s feet.

     Grandma had to give up a few things too. First Grandma had to give up seeing her    family, and China  to go to Hong Kong because Communists had taken over China. Giving up her life in Hong Kong to come to America was another thing grandma had to sacrifice.  

    Another story that involves sacrifice is the movie 42. Jackie Robison and his wife both had to give up their home to go to Florida when he got invited to play on the Brooklyn Dodgers. The next sacrifice was going to the bathroom where ever they wanted. In Florida only white people were allowed to use the rest rooms, and the bathrooms in restaurants and airports. When Jackie goes to a different town his wife had to stay behind, because Jack was invited to play on the Brooklyn Dodgers.

      Changes aren’t easy for anyone in a family, especially if you are the one that has to make all of the changes. Stacy, Grandma, and Jackie all had to give up stuff that was really important to them. Those sacrifices where not worth it for Stacy because she was the only one gave up things in the family. Grandma sacrifices where worth it because she gets to visit her daughter again. Jackie sacrifices were worth because he gets to play with different teams and get to see new places he had never seen before. 

9-11-2001 event

        How would you feel if you were on a hijacked plane taken over by terrorists? What would you do if you knew that plane you are on, is purposely being crashed into a building? On September 11th 2001, there were 4 planes, that were hijacked by 19 terrorists. Two of the planes targeted the World Trade Center, the third plane targeted The Pentagon, and the fourth plane targeted the White House. This is a day that hijacked airplanes attacked buildings and shocked everyone. (September 11 attacks).

        The events for flight 11 on 9/11. At 7:59 am flight 11 took off. However 15 minutes into the flight the hijackers injured 3 people and took control of the plane. Then it crashed into the north tower at 8:46 am local time. It hit the 93rd through the 99th floor. Hit the north tower straight, and that killed all the people on board (American Airlines Flight 11).

       This is the events for flight 175 on 9/11. First at  8:14 am flight 175 took off. Next the plane got hijacked between 8:42- 8:46 am. At 8:42 am started heading for the south tower. Finally it crashed into the south tower killing all 60 people on board at 9:03am, and the plane hit the south tower on an angle (United Airlines Flight 175).

       These are the events for flight 93 on 9/11. At 8:42 am flight 93 takes off. Next it got hijacked at 9:23 am. Then a few minutes later Passengers took a revolt, and at that time the plane headed towards Washington. Due to the revolt of the passengers the hijackers made the plane hit the ground at 10:03am in  Somerset County, Pennsylvania (United Airlines Flight 93) (September 11 Attack Timeline).

       The events for flight 77 on 9/11. At 8:20 am flight 77 took off, and the plane was one third full. Next the transponder was shut off at 8:46am. Then got hijacked at 8:52 am. Finally the plane hit the pentagon at 9:37 am and that killed all the people on board (American Airlines Flight 77) (Flight 77 ).

       That was a scary day for everyone aboard the planes, people in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the citizens of America. These shocking events brought out the strength and courage of America and its citizens. We saw the horrifying acts of terrorism and recognized and acknowledged the support of the first responders trying to help, rescue, and protect the victims of the attack.
